Principle of Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA): The nitrogen generator uses the PSA principle to utilize the difference in adsorption rates of oxygen and nitrogen molecules on carbon molecular sieves, and achieves oxygen nitrogen separation through periodic pressure changes. The specific process is as follows:
Pressure adsorption: When compressed air passes through carbon molecular sieves, oxygen molecules are preferentially adsorbed on the surface of the adsorbent, while nitrogen molecules enter the enriched nitrogen buffer tank through the gaps between the molecular sieves.
Decompression desorption: When the adsorption tower is depressurized, the adsorbed oxygen molecules are desorbed and emptied, and the adsorbent is regenerated, thereby achieving continuous production of high-purity nitrogen gas.
Application scenario: In the food industry, nitrogen generators are mainly used for inflating and preserving food packaging. Nitrogen, as a protective gas, can prevent food oxidation and spoilage, and extend the shelf life of food.
